Texture is the visual and tactile quality of all the surfaces around us. Surfaces are made of different materials.


NATURAL TEXTURES

These are natural textures we can see everywhere.

The bird of GERNIKA by PICASSO
We need differents materials to do the bird:

  • construction brown paper
  • cardboard
  • silk paper in colours
  • fabric and pieces of clothes
  • string and rope
  • rice
  • lentices
  • sand. .
  • crayons, markers . . .
  • glue


First we copy the bird and make templates of every piece : body 1, body 2, wings, neck, head, eyes . .cloud, sun . . .
Then we stick two or more pieces of material on every piece of the bird and so we build all the pieces.

FLOWERS

To do the flowers we need:
  • a colour paper DIN 4
  • brown cardboard
  • brown and blue silk paper
  • pieces of string or wool
  • rice, chalk or small balls to decorate the background
  • glue
